Ultraviolette X-47 Electric Bike Launched at ₹2.49 Lakh: 323km Range, Radar Tech

Ultraviolette just dropped something that’ll make every biker stop and stare. The Bengaluru startup has unveiled the X-47 Crossover – an electric motorcycle that costs ₹2.49 lakh and packs radar technology. This is the world’s first production bike with built-in radar, and it’s coming from India.

A Bike That Actually Watches Your Back

The standout feature is UV HyperSense – Ultraviolette’s system that acts like your digital riding buddy. Picture this: you’re cruising down the highway, and the bike alerts you about a car in your blind spot or warns you if someone’s about to rear-end you. The radar works with onboard cameras to give you features you’d typically find in luxury cars – blind-spot monitoring, lane change assistance, and collision warnings.

It’s like having a co-pilot who never gets tired.

Performance That Doesn’t Mess Around

Don’t think this is just about tech gimmicks. The X-47 means business with its 10.3 kWh battery delivering 40 horsepower and a whopping 610 Nm of torque. Hit the throttle, and you’ll rocket from 0-60 km/h in just 2.7 seconds. The top speed reaches 145 km/h – more than enough for Indian highways.

Range anxiety becomes a thing of the past with this one. Ultraviolette claims 323 km on a single charge, which should easily handle your weekend trips to Goa or that ride to the mountains you’ve been planning.

Smart Charging Solutions

The bike features something called “Parallel Boost Charging” – which simply means you can use two chargers simultaneously to cut charging time in half. The onboard charger is apparently the most power-dense air-cooled unit in the world, though that’s the kind of detail only engineers get excited about.

What matters more is that it supports both AC and DC charging, so you won’t be hunting for specific charging points.

Built for Everything

Ultraviolette isn’t positioning this as just another city commuter. The 200mm ground clearance, all-terrain tires, and sturdy suspension setup suggest they want you taking this bike places most electric vehicles fear to go. Whether it’s Mumbai traffic or mountain roads in Himachal, the X-47 seems ready.

The bike comes loaded with goodies – a 5-inch TFT screen, multiple riding modes (Glide for easy rides, Combat for spirited riding, and Ballistic for when you want to unleash everything), and even a built-in dashcam. Optional panniers mean you can actually tour on this thing.

The Bottom Line

CEO Narayan Subramaniam clearly believes they’ve built something special. His fighter jet comparisons might sound over the top, but when you look at what the X-47 offers, it’s hard to disagree. This isn’t just another electric bike – it’s a statement that Indian companies can build world-class products that push boundaries.

Deliveries start in October, with the first 1,000 buyers getting the introductory price. You can book one for just ₹999 on their website. Export markets will have to wait until 2026, but that gives Indian riders a nice head start on owning something truly unique.

At ₹2.49 lakh, the X-47 isn’t cheap, but considering what you’re getting – radar, cameras, serious performance, and that 323 km range – it might just be worth every rupee.
