ZF Appoints Andreas Moser to Lead Global Commercial Vehicle and India Operations

Andreas‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ Moser will be the new member of the board of management at ZF Friedrichshafen AG with effect from 1 November 2025. Apart from the CVS division, Moser will head the Industrial Technology division and the India region. The transfer of this seasoned leader is a perfect match for ZF’s continued management reshuffle, which leads to a smaller board concentrating more on aspects like P&L, innovation, and operational synergies.

During his 30 years of service at ZF, Mr Moser held leading positions in product development, operations, and industrial advancement. With his appointment, the company is equipped with both experience and foresight, which are absolutely necessary not only to steer ZF through the global transition of the mobility sector but also to make a significant impact. Hence, it is anticipated that ZF, under his guidance, will accelerate the transformation in the CVS division that demonstrates how the company will evolve in next-generation trucking, autonomous driving systems, and electrified commercial ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌mobility.

Mathias‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ Miedreich considers that a new management team will not only have more clarity concerning the real issues to be dealt with but also become more performance-oriented, thereby leading the company to achieve a higher degree of agility. The renewed Board of Management, which will be reduced from six to five members, is expected to be more decisive and performance-oriented. As the main control unit for the different departments directly under the CEO’s supervision, production, sales, materials management, and corporate strategy, the setting up of a Transformation Committee…

Regarding the Indian region, the firm has scripted its strategic course more distinctly. The emergence of Moser is one of the ways ZF Energy expresses its faith in India as a global commercial vehicle technology sector’s innovation centre and the future of manufacturing and software solutions. ZF is pledging to integrate R&D locally as well as to extend supplier partnerships to facilitate India’s move towards a TMP (Traffic Management Program) of automated and electrified mobility ecosystems, specifically in heavy vehicles and industrial ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌sectors.

Aside from streamlining leadership and operational excellence to become a reality, ZF’s company-wide restructuring program is also a force for driving the firm’s growth and a guide for it in innovating and becoming more profitable. The company is focusing on three strategic thrusts: delivering commercial vehicle systems that are reliable and resilient, powering motion and driveline technologies, and broadening manufacturing capabilities worldwide. This approach enables ZF not only to be a more efficient supplier to its clients but also to be in the position to react quickly to the most recent mobility trends like decarbonization, digitalization, and automation.

Key Takeaways:

Leadership Realignment: One of the managerial changes is that Andreas Moser, being an executive director, will take charge of the energy business and, thereby, shift from the board of management to the board of directors. The CVS and the ET Industrial segments and the India region will be his responsibility.

Strategic Emphasis: The restructuring of the ZF Board that made it a five-member board instead of six improved communication and sped up decision-making.

Operational Integration: A Transformation Committee, which is responsible for the internal integration of business processes, has been established.

India Focus: The emphasis on Moser’s promotion indicates how important India is for ZF and how much investment and localization of the mobility ecosystem it is making there.

Future Perspective: This step is part of ZF’s long-term transformation strategy and focuses on electrification, digitalization, and mobility sustainability solutions.
